Transitioning from Essential Pay FMS
Essential Pay FMS has announced that it will be closing soon. If you have been using them to pay for your services, we know this news brings some uncertainty. We want you to know that support is available and that this transition is manageable.
Your services can continue
Your budget, your authorized services, and your right to direct them are not going away. What changes is which agency processes your invoices and issues payment to your providers.
You can continue working with your current service providers, as long as they continue to meet Medicaid waiver requirements. Changing financial management services does not mean starting over. FMS Pay is here to support your service providers every step of the way.
How FMS Pay can help
We are a financial management service handling bill pay for participants who direct their own services. If you choose to work with us, our enrollment team will:
- Walk you through every step of the transition personally
- Coordinate timing with Essential Pay's final processing date so your providers keep getting paid
- Set up your providers with us and handle the paperwork on our end
- Coordinate with your Independent Facilitator / case manager on any documentation and POS authorizations
What to do now
The most helpful thing you can do today is start the conversation with FMS Pay. Transitions go smoothly when they begin early, and there is no cost or obligation to talk with us about your situation and to see if we are a good fit.
Talk to us
Our enrollment team can answer your questions and walk through what a transition would look like for you specifically. We can connect face-to-face via Google Meets.
